Certainty in the mind of a crazy person is the weapon of an evil god. –
Just wrote that while free-writing about my mom’s impending death. Her liver doesn’t work anymore. Her brain never really did. Not properly, anyway. Things are not good but she’s close to finally feeling some peace. We are doing our best for her but the inevitable is clear and imminent and it is only a matter of time before we say goodbye and goodnight.
The only comfort I have is the knowledge that pain is temporary.
