Bill and Lane. These two boner heads are two of my favorite people in the whole world. Just kidding. One of them is. Irrenevertheless, they’re both fun and easy to talk to.

I particularly liked learning from Bill about the process of donating his hair to charity and the story about Lane getting cheered off the stage at an open mic after saying one sentence is a good reminder of the kinds of unexpected things that can happen during live performance.

But the real heart of this episode is Bill’s Top Ten Chicago Comics I wanted to FÜ©K of 2011! From its humble origins as nonsense party conversation the list has quickly become an annual tradition in the Chicago comedy scene. Being selected is a rainbow-colored feather in any insecure comics’ cap and certain harbinger of frothy things to come in the new year. Placement on the list is hotly debated amongst hopefuls and selectants alike. So give it a listen and find out the methodology Bill uses in making his dick picks. I’ll just say this: his process is fair, straight and veiny.

Get the latest eps of the podcast for your ears

I haven’t plugged the podcast on here as much as I should. But I plug the shit out of it on the podcast website, which makes sense considering that’s the reason that website exists.

It’s been going very well so far. Have received a lot of positive feedback from friends and enemies alike.

Check out the Walking Dead special in which myself and fellow comic Jeff Steinbrunner break down that show in all its gory and terrible details. People really seem to be responding to that one.

Subscribe to it on iTunes here or if you don’t like iTunes (like me) put this link into Google Reader.

If you listen to numerous podcasts as I do and aren’t using Google Reader then you’re wasting a lot of time. I used to go to each individual podcast’s website to check for updates, but using Reader you simply enter the RSS link of a podcast into it once and it keeps track of that podcast for you. You can see which shows have new episodes available all in one place. It simplifies the process and makes downloading podcasts much easier.

I can only vouch for Google Reader. There are other readers out there that I’m sure work just as well, more or less. Probably less.

Also, throw away any old analog radios you have, including your car stereo. You won’t need those dinosaur appliances anymore. Well, maybe when the zombie apocalypse finally happens you might need one, in order to find a military broadcast that tells you where to go so that you may bring the rogue commander females for him and his men to begin repopulating the Earth with.

Podcast: Episode 7 available now

Head over to the podcast website and check out episode 7. We were joined by Tony Blanco — comedian, cajun, cylon. We talked about many things, including his time as the house MC at Lakeshore Theatre. He tells the story of how he met Robin Williams and the time Jim Jeffries exposed his balls and rested them on his head in the middle of a show. And I spend a lot of time flapping my gums about things I’m not qualified to talk about. You go now!
